MICHNYA
James Charles Michnya, age 70, of Lewisville, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 following a brief illness.
James was born in Johnstown, PA on September 13, 1941 to Charles and Mary Michnya.He married the love of his life of the past 45 years, Sylvia Majkut, November 24, 1966.
His career work was at Texas Instruments where he worked as an electronics technician.
James is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Lewisville; daughter, Elizabeth Quintana and her husband, Mark of Flower Mound; son, James Michnya and his wife, Margaret of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, James, Gabriel and Isabella, as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.
James' family will host a visitation, Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at 1 p.m., in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery where James will receive full military honors for his service to his country.
