| Thomas John Pidcock |
Mayor Thomas John Pidcock, age 72 and resident of Double Oak, TX, was born on January 27, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and passed on July 16, 2012 in Denton, TX.
Mayor Pidcock was a devoted husband, loving father and selfless servant to the community of Double Oak.Tom believed in placing the needs of citizens first and spent a lifetime defending the nation and serving our country. Tom served two years in the US Navy and 33 years in the US Army where he obtained the rank of Command Sergeant Major and retired in 2000.
Tom is survived by his wife, Janice Pidcock and his daughter, DeAnna Oellermann and her husband Brian. He is also survived by two sons, Sgt. Matthew Pidcock and Michael Pidcock; one sister, Leona Criego; one granddaughter, Brianna Oellermann; and foreign exchange daughter, Elena Barton.
A visitation was held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday at 9 a.m. at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville and then burial with Full Military Honors followed at DFW National Cemetery.
