Myla Kay Frahm Johnson, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2012.
Kay was born November 2, 1956 in Havre, Montana to Robert and Edith Havens Frahm. She was second of six children and lived in Montana, New York, Tennessee, Sweden, Ghana, Texas, Nebraska, and Arizona.She graduated from Abilene High School, then attended Abilene Christian University where she met Stephen Johnson whom she married the following year.
She was single again in 2006, at which time she went back to college, graduating from Northern Arizona University, Summa Cum Laude on December 10, 2009, with a B.S. in Education. On July 5, 2012 the Lord's faithful servant, Myla Kay started her journey to a destination where she knew she would find peace and rest with Him.
She was a strong Christian woman and a knowledgeable student of scripture. She had an admirable reverence for life and wonderful sense of adventure. She respected nature and lived her life vibrantly embracing it. Kay was an amazing inspiration and support to anyone in need, reaching out to help others in her humble ways.
Kay's legacy continues in her children, siblings and extended family: Christen Ramsey, husband Brandon, and son, Michael Johnson; her beloved companion, Princess; her siblings: Ann Frahm, Ruth Musgrave, & Ruth's daughters Cassandra & Jana Powers with her children Eon and Aspen; Patti Joy Veasey and husband Ken, Steven Frahm, wife Michelle and son Zachary; Tim Frahm, wife Alyssa and sons Bogan & Mason and daughters Nuanna & Chayana; Kay is also survived by a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins - a large extended family as well as a host of loyal and supportive friends who were blessed by her gracious, gentle spirit, and her great love for the Lord. Although Kay is now resting peacefully out of our sight, she will remain in our hearts and "...[she] will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:6
Kay was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Havens Frahm, her maternal grandparents, Rudie and Gladys DeSpain Havens and paternal grandparents, John and Emma Frahm.
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going" John 14:1-4
A celebration of Kay's life will be held August 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. We will celebrate her life and her joy in the Lord.
