Leach leads Cole in early voting results

Early voting results for the Texas House District 67 runoff are in, showing Jeff Leach leading opponent John Cole by 6 percent.
Leach accumulated 53 percent of the vote, leaving Cole with 46 percent. Early voting for the nearly two-month-long runoff was from July 23 to July 27.
District 67 comprises the eastern half of Plano and the west side of Allen. District 66, which makes up the western half of Plano, was won during the June 5 general election by Van Taylor, who ran unopposed. District 89, which takes up the eastern side of Allen, was also won by an unopposed candidate, Jodie Laubenberg, during the general election.
