Police calls for July 16 - 23 compiled from information provided by the Police Department.

July 16

8:16 a.m. - Trash dumping in the 900 block of West Walnut Street. Trash dumped into dumpster at post office. Located owner of trash bags who will come pick it back up.

1:52 p.m. - Animal complaint in the 700 block of West Ash Street. Loose dog. Dog got out by accident through hole in fence. Owner will fix fence. Dog was back in yard when officer arrived. Situation resolved.

5:32 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 400 block of West Maple Street. Reporting Person states that her neighbor keeps driving across her driveway to get to hers. Advised both parties to drive on their own side of their drive way. No report taken.

6:46 p.m. - Follow-up investigation on dog bite that occurred on July 3, 2012. Criminal citation issued for dog at large.

7:15 p.m. - Found property at Missouri and Bounds. Found purse and contents in creek bed of Missouri and Bounds. Pictures were taken of purse and its contents in bottom of creek bed. Purse taken along with its contents as found property. No report taken.

July 17

12:10 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 1300 block of South Preston Road. Employee and friend sitting in car and talking.

8:46 a.m. - Traffic hazard in the 500 block of North Preston Road. Tree branch on roadway. Removed branch from roadway.

8:50 a.m. - Assist fire department with structure fire in the 6400 block of County Road 90. Assist fire department with traffic control.

5:31 p.m. - Open door in the 100 block of South Alabama Drive. Maintenance man on scene. Apartment cleared and doors re-secured.

8:35 p.m. - Assist other agency at Preston and County Road 88. Assisted Collin County Sheriff's office with juvenile walking north on Preston Road appearing to be distraught. Officer spoke to mother with juvenile present and provided ideas to improve situation at home for both mother and son along with younger sister and brother. No report taken.

11:22 p.m. - Domestic disturbance in the 200 block of North Texas Drive. Male and female arguing at this residence. Female is outside and asked Reporting Person to call police. Officer spoke to female of residence and she stated she and her husband were arguing and having a verbal dispute. Husband left on foot. Searched house and residence, but husband not located. No report taken.

July 18

12:12 a.m. - Phone harassment in the 400 block of Connemara Trail. Reporting Person has been getting harassing phone calls. Officer spoke to RP and gathered information about harassment texts and calls and advised her that an officer will conduct an extra patrol of her residence and area. No report taken.

12:37 a.m. – Extra patrol in the 400 block of Connemara Trail. Extra patrol in reference to phone calls. Was able to determine that calls came from a land line in Rice, Texas, but not name of caller. No problems observed. Spoke with RP, advised her what was learned about the number.

1:05 a.m. – Community policing in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Open garage door, crime card completed.

2:06 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of East Pecan Street. Vehicle parked in front of closed business. Task completed, no one around.

5:08 p.m. - Assist fire department in the 300 block of Palomino Lane. Two kids flipped canoe in pond at Carter Ranch. Kids swam to shore with canoe.

6:39 p.m. - Juvenile problem in the 2700 block of South Preston Road. Four teens riding skateboards in parking lot. Officer explained to teens that the businesses did not want them riding skateboards in parking lot. They left.

10:52 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle at Light Farms and County Road 51. Dodge truck parked on Light Farms Road with lights on. Driver stated they were looking at stars.

July 19

1:15 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 2600 block of Stallions Lane. Open doors on vehicle. Owner stated he was letting it air out. No offense occurred.

1:22 a.m. – Open door in the 100 block of Doloris. Garage door open. Contacted owner, door closed.

2:46 a.m. – Major accident at Preston and County road 83. One-vehicle crash. Accident report completed.

5:55 p.m. – Juvenile problem at the Pecan Street police station. Walk-in regarding known juvenile sneaking out and doing drugs. Report made and supervisor notified.

10:03 p.m. – Citizen assist in the 1200 block of Miller. Citizen wanted to talk about problems in area. Reporting Person stated that unknown subjects have tried to enter houses in area by going through windows. His neighbors have told him that their screens had been removed. They are asking for extra patrols at night.

July 20

4:53 p.m. Fraud in the 1100 block of West Walnut Street. Someone printed some fake checks on a company checking account. Reporting Person will meet officer at the police department. Offense report filed.

9:53 p.m. – Motorist assist at Beech and Arizona. Vehicle setting at stop sign with flashers on. Driver was having problem with contact lens.

10:06 p.m. – 911 hangup in the 300 block of South New Mexico Drive. It was dispute about cell phone. Unable to make contact with subject that has the phone at this time. Will contact later.

10:29 p.m. – Follow-up investigation at Beech and Louisiana. Located subject to ask about phone from earlier call. Person stated she did not have phone, but will let people know to give phone back.

July 21

1:36 a.m. – Community policing in the 700 block of Stefhanie Drive. Open garage door. Crime card completed.

4:35 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of North Arizona Drive. Reporting Person said that someone has been knocking on her window. RP said that she woke up around 2 and heard music playing, that someone had turned on her radio. Thinks that someone was in her house, thinks they are gone now. Situation resolved, no one in residence.

4:54 a.m. – Traffic hazard at Walnut and Kentucky. Tree in roadway, public works contacted.

5:05 a.m. – Traffic hazard in the 700 block of West Walnut Street. Large tree down blocking both lanes. Public Works notified. Public Works and fire department cleared tree off roadway.

2:26 p.m. - Juvenile problem in the 3300 block of Twin Lakes Drive. Young male operating small motorcycle on street. The father has two sons that were riding the motorcycle and will make sure they do not go on the street again.

3:36 p.m. - Theft of cell phone and laptop computer in the 200 block of North Texas Drive. Offense report completed.

4:25 p.m. - Theft in the 600 block of East Sunset Boulevard. Two suspects just left location with property not purchased. Offense report completed.

8:53 p.m. - Assist fire department in the 1800 block of North Preston Road. Smoke investigation, referred to another agency. Could not locate source before it dissipated. Fire department still in area checking.

10:24 p.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 500 block of South Louisiana Drive. Reporting Person wants to speak to an officer about feeling threatened and something not right. Extra patrol for residence.

July 22

2:38 a.m. – Community policing in the 500 block of Winchester Drive. Open garage door, crime card completed.

2:42 a.m. – Parking violation in the 500 block of Paddock Lane. Parked facing traffic, crime card completed.

3:35 a.m. Suspicious vehicle in the 3400 block of North Preston Road. Vehicle in parking lot. No one around.

4:03 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of North Arizona Drive. Someone knocking on windows. Unable to locate anyone.

5:54 a.m. - Minor accident in the 1900 block of North Preston Road. One-vehicle, minor accident. Went off road and struck a fence. Accident report completed.

2:18 p.m. - Disorderly conduct in the 200 block of East Pecan Street. Subject exposing himself. Offense report completed.

5:27 p.m. - Citizen assist in the 400 block of East Ash Street. Horse tied up on short rope with no water. Method is an accepted training practice to teach horses to stand in trailers for long trips without hurting themselves. Situation resolved.

11:58 p.m. - Welfare check in the 2800 block of Saddlebred Trail. Possible suicide subject has been staying in Plano, but has residence in Celina. Unable to locate. No contact at residence. Officer spoke to mother of subject. She is in Houston at this time, but advised that her son and his wife had a big fallout and is now staying with her mother. Advised mother to contact dispatch if she has any additional information regarding her son. Will continue to patrol.

July 23

1:37 a.m. – Community policing in the 1200 block of Stone Lane. Open garage door, crime card completed.

3:24 a.m. -Motorist assist at Main and Ohio. Flat tire on vehicle. Driver was able to get vehicle back to his residence.
