Aerial spraying for mosquitoes in Mesquite is planned for 10 p.m. tonight

The city of Mesquite has been notified by Dallas County the area of Mesquite located north of Highway 30 will receive aerial spraying for mosquitoes around 10 p.m. tonight, weather permitting. Please see the map below.
Through an ordinance passed by the Mesquite City Council on Monday, Mesquite supports the use of aerial spraying by the state health department in an effort to combat the spread of the West Nile Virus. The City’s public health division will continue ground spraying for all areas in Mesquite which have tested positive for the virus.
