Mesquite Resident Needs Community's Vote To Win Home Makeover

By Bana Varnon
A Mesquite resident needs YOUR help! Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity seeks the public's support in choosing two deserving homeowners to win a living and dining room makeover led by a team of local designers. Darleen Allen, of Mesquite, was chosen as one of the five semi-finalists of the second annual Design Duel and needs your vote to help her win the home redesign.
Darleen began planning a remodel to her "1980s"-style house after her mother's health started to fail and she had to move in with Darleen. Darleen wanted the house to accommodate her limited mobility, but after being laid off from her job, she was left with little money and had to put her remodeling plans on hold. Darleen would love for her shared space to have a warm homey feeling with added safety for her mother.
So how can you help Darleen? By casting your vote for her once a day, every day at designduel.org from September 28 to October 5. Support your neighbor today!
