Portion of FM 407 complete

TxDOT informed the Highland Village that construction on the north side of FM 407 is complete. Westbound traffic will be switched to the new pavement by the end of this week.
Eastbound traffic will remain on the south side while TxDOT completes pavement marking, temporary barricades and driveway and intersection cuts on the south side. TxDOT plans, weather permitting, to have all traffic switched to the new pavement by Nov. 15.
Also, the city has received formal submittal of the rezoning request for The District of Highland Village, located at FM 407 and Briarhill Boulevard.
The planning and zoning commission will hold a public hearing and consider the request at a special meeting Nov. 15.
The meeting agenda will be posted on the city website at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. The meeting will be televised on HVTV (Time Warner 15; Verizon 43), and via video streaming on the city website live and on-demand.
