Coppell Chamber wins statewide recognition
FROM STAFF REPORTS
The Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE), in a recent ceremony, announced the winners of its Program of the Year awards. In this competitive program with entries from across the state of Texas, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce won second place for its Programming in the Governmental Affairs Category.
The TCCE Program of the Year awards are given annually and celebrate excellence in chamber of commerce programming that demonstrates not just great execution but shows a significant impact on the community, chamber members and the businesses in a given place.
“Chambers of Commerce provide valuable programs that bring significant impacts on the community in the areas of education, economic development, community development and others”, said Aaron Cox, CEO of TCCE. “This award celebrates the incredible contributions the Coppell Chamber of Commerce makes each day and its ability to bring people and resources together to have a significant impact on the business community and the quality of life for all citizens.”
Long continued, “This honor for our candidate forums would not have been possible without the facilities and equipment provided by the school and city administrations. Our thanks go out to everyone for allowing the chamber to be an integral partner in our community.”
Of the awards and what they mean, Matt McCormick, TCCE Chairman of the Board and President/CEO of the Lewisville Area Chamber, said, “We have chambers that represent large metropolitan areas as well as those that represent smaller communities, but all of them have a substantial impact on their respective communities. Their collective efforts have helped position Texas as the number one state in which to do business. Congratulations to all!”
