Laurel Georgene 'Dee Dee' Hutchison
Proverbs 31:28
"Her children rise up and bless her. . ."

Laurel Georgene "Dee Dee" Hutchison, 93, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at McBride Orthopedic Hospital.

Graveside services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas, with Reverend T.C. Melton officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.

Georgene was born August 9, 1919, to George Herbert and Beulah Mae (Garrett) Bullock in Merkel, Texas. After graduating from Merkel High School, she majored in music at North Texas State Teachers College, and then went on to teach elementary school music for 30 years. She married Joseph Wayne Low and lived in Japan and Germany after World War II. She returned home and lived in Colorado, Georgia, and in Dallas, Abilene, and Frisco, Texas.

She was an accomplished pianist and organist and played for the churches she attended. Her hobbies included baking and cooking, sewing, square dancing, homemaking, and praying for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She had a passion for life and encouraging others. She was loved by all who knew her and was known for her ever-present smile and her constant "Thank You's." She was a favorite among her peers, but even more so with her caregivers. She was proud that even at the end "I never lost my marbles."

Praise the good Lord that she has been released from her earthly body that held her captive and is now in the presence of the Holy One, who created her, rejoicing in a new and perfect body, with a new name, and with her family who went before her. Praise God that she will shed no more tears, experience no more sorrow, and she will live in Paradise with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, for eternity. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman. Proverbs 31:30, "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised."

"Dee Dee" is survived by her son Warren Glenn Low and wife Peggy; her daughter, Barbara Carol Balthrop and husband, Ralph; nine grandchildren, Angela Jackson, Michelle Box and husband, Ricky, Eric Balthrop and wife, Diana, Amy Little and husband, John, Allison Crossley and husband, David, Montana Low and wife, Natalie, Dakota Low and wife, Brittany, Colorado Low and wife, Jessica, and Carolina Joy Low; 14 great-grandchildren, Sean Byrd, Hayden and James Ivey; Hanna, Carmen, Rani and Taylor Box; Sophia, Andrew and Daniel Balthrop; Kaige Little; Connor and Annabelle Crossley; Carson and Ryker Low; Soren Low; and Evelynn Low.

We all benefitted from her love, care and hard work. She will be missed by each of us.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Garrett Bullock; sister, Annie Marie Graham; and husband, Joseph Wayne Low.

John 11:25, Jesus said to her, "I am the Resurrection and the life; he who believes in me shall live even if he dies. . ."
