Article:	Showing off the past: Arts center exhibit focuses on city�s history The city of Mesquite has been celebrating its birthday since the year began. Mesquite was incorporated 125 years ago. During the course of the year several activities and events were held to commemorate the anniversary. The Mesquite Arts Council worked with Historic Mesquite Inc. to plan a month and a half long artifact exhibit to close out the year. The exhibit runs through Dec. 31 at the Mesquite Arts Center, 1527 N. Galloway Ave.
