McKinney police believe arson may be the cause of a string of fires that have occurred the past two weeks.
Nine fires, which Deputy Chief Kim Malolepszy called "suspicious," have involved residences and cars. Police say road flares started two of the fires.
The MPD is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect or suspects responsible, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the suspect(s) arrest and indictment.
To report related information, contact Detective Jeff Taylor at 972-547-2738, or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-8477.
