North Mesquite boys basketball falls to Allen
North Mesquite had a bye on the opening day of the 12-5A season, but it was unable to build momentum going into the holidays as it suffered a 35-34 loss to Allen.
It was a defensive struggle throughout, with neither team being able to muster much scoring.
The Stallions, who are 7-7 overall, led 16-14 at halftime, but managed only four points in the third quarter and despite a late run, that was one point too many to overcome.
Ryan Bradley scored 17 points and Norman Alexander added 14 to provide the bulk of the scoring for North Mesquite.
