Richard K. Morton
Richard K. Morton, 67, of Allen, Texas, died on January 17, 2013 in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by his family after a long battle with gastric cancer.
Rick was born on March 15, 1945, in Richmond, Virginia, to Marie Curran and John Bottomley Morton.

Richard married LaQuetta Ann (Quetta) Szenasi on July 22, 1989, in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas.

Rick served in the U.S. Army from 1966-69 and was a member of the Association of the U.S. Army. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Rick was employed by Milton Bradley/Hasbro for 32 years in a number of sales and marketing positions where he earned the friendship and deep respect of his associates and clients. He later served Marketing Plus in Dallas as a marketing consultant.

Rick deeply enjoyed golf and fishing all his life and was accomplished at both. He and Quetta enjoyed travel to numerous locations throughout North America and Europe. Rick was a friendly and outgoing person, always with a smile and a kind word. He left a legion of friends wherever he traveled and worked. Known as Uncle Rick, he generously embraced his extended family and was a wise, kind and generous influence in their lives.

Rick is survived by his wife, Quetta Morton of Allen, Texas; two stepchildren, Kelly O'Niel Martinez and her husband, Cecilio of Clearlake, Texas, and Tim O'Niel and his wife, Brandi of McKinney, Texas; three stepgranddaughters, Shelbi, Savannah, and Skyler; brother, John B. Morton Jr. and his wife, Mary Ball of Wilmington, Delaware; sister, Margaret Ann Morton of Wilmington, Delaware; nephews, John B. Morton III and his wife, Cynthia of Bethesda, Maryland, David Ball Morton of Sebastopol, California; and great-nephew Jake Morton of Bethesda, Maryland.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and John Morton.

A memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. with Chaplain Wesley Geary, Co. U.S. Army (retired). A remembrance gathering will be held at the funeral home in Allen on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Father Salvador Guzman. Interment will be held at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Oklahoma, at 2:00 p.m. with Bill Blakemore officiating, (confirm at www.wattsfuneralhome.com).
