Sean Terry named Celina mayor

The Denton County Elections Administration released its unofficial results, naming Sean Terry as the new mayor of Celina in the special mayoral election. Results are unofficial until they are canvassed by the City Council.
Terry defeated his opponent, Todd McCally, with 57.5 percent of the returns (229 ballots). McCally obtained 42.5 percent of the votes (169).
Vincent Ramos ran unopposed for Place 3 on the City Council.
