Resignation letters from three Haggard Middle School counselors show all three did not intend to resign immediately, though why the well-regarded employees chose to leave remains a mystery.
The letters, which were obtained through a public information request to Plano ISD, are brief and reveal little detail as to why the counselors resigned.
Penny Hale and Mary White wrote that their resignations will be effective the last day of the fall 2013 semester. Robin Taylor's letter says her resignation is effective "the last contract day of the 2012-2013 school year." All three letters are dated Feb. 1.
A letter sent to parents by Principal Julie-Anne Dean, dated Feb. 4, states replacements have already been brought to the campus and will be filling in for the rest of the semester. A response from the district regarding the employment status of Hale, Taylor and White is pending.
