Football: Creekview falls to .500
By Justin Thomas, jthomas@starlocalnews.com
Creekview's football team was unable to up its record to 2-0 last week as the Mustangs came up short against Saginaw, 24-7.
Following a productive day through the air in its Week 0 win against Saginaw Chisholm Trail, Creekview quarterback David Blough had a tougher time against the Rough Riders, completing just 9-of-23 passes for 61 yards. Blough did, however, throw for a touchdown with no interceptions, but the Mustangs were victim to three lost fumbles. Dylan Kittrell hauled in the touchdown catch and finished with five receptions for 35 yards.
On the ground, Creekview picked up 64 yards on 26 attempts, while Saginaw racked up 263 yards on 50 carries.
