Plano East to play Lincoln at AAC in playoff warm-up

The Plano East boys basketball team will stop by the American Airlines Center for a quick tune-up before beginning the postseason.
The Panthers will be among eight Metroplex teams in action Saturday from the AAC for the McDonald's High School Basketball Classic. Taking the floor at 4 p.m., East will play Dallas Lincoln.
The matchup features a pair of the top teams in both the area and state, with the Panthers -- ranked No. 3 in Class 5A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches -- squaring off against a Lincoln squad ranked No. 3 in 4A by the same outlet.
East will officially begin the playoffs next week against either Dallas Skyline or Lake Highlands.
