Frisco announces finalists for fire chief

The city of Frisco has announced three finalists for the position of fire chief out of the 101 applicants it received for the position.
The three finalists are as follows:
The finalists will be brought in for interviews by city officials in the coming weeks. Renshaw said he hopes to make the appointment by the end of March.
Frisco's fire chief position has been vacant since Mack Borchardt retired from the role in October. Borchardt is currently serving as a fire programs consultant and special assistant to the city manager.
Renshaw recently named John Bruce the city's new police chief. Bruce had served as interim police chief since Renshaw was named director of public safety, overseeing both the police and fire departments, in October. That position was created for Renshaw by City Manager George Purefoy to streamline the oversight of public safety in the city.

Gregory Gammon: Retired 27-year veteran fire chief of Las Vegas (Nev.) Fire Rescue
Mark Piland: 33-year veteran fire chief from Volusia County (Fla.) Fire Service and Virginia Beach (Va.) Fire Department
