Funeral services for Mr. Richard "Dickie" Lee Fields, 58-year-old Ladonia resident, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Leonard. Brother Tim Cline will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Mr. Fields was born December 21, 1954, at Liberal, Kansas. His parents were Jack Curtis Sr. and Ruthy Jean Craig Fields. He married Rebecca Ann Royal April 10, 1974, at Lubbock.
He worked for the Collin County Sheriff's office as a deputy sheriff and he was a member of the Collin County Deputy Association as well as a member of the Baptist Church. He passed away at his residence in Ladonia on Sunday, February 10, 2013, as the result of a house fire.
He is survived by his mother, Ruthy Jean Fields of Lubbock; his sons- and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Ashley Fields of Leonard and Micah and Sarilynn Fields of Bonham; his daughter, Christina Boen of Frisco; his son, Patrick Tabor of Cheyenne, Wyoming; his three grandchildren, Jeramiah Fields Jr., Kiercy Fields and Jaci Fields; his sisters, Ruth Ellen Higginbotham, Donna Jean Rhinehart, Rose Donaldson and Margaret Rebble, all of Lubbock; and his brothers, Jack Fields Jr., Michael Fields and Jimmy Fields, all of Lubbock, and Gregory Fields of Mildenhall, England.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Curtis Fields Sr., and a brother, Lynn Edward Fields.
