HUCKABAY

D. Scott Huckabay
D. Scott Huckabay, born February 20, 1966, went to be with Jesus on February 14, 2013, at the age of 46 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Scott is survived by mother and dad, Ramona and Ken Napier; father and wife, Jim and Sharon Huckabay; sister Kim Trimble (Jasmine (Liam and Anika), Stephanie (Maddy); sister and husband Jeff and Pam Chennault (Garrett and Jaycee); brother and wife Brett and Amy Napier (Ayla, Avie and Ainsley).

"Love of my life, Sweet Nikki," Scott's 9-year-old Mini Aussie.

Valued mentors: Sam McNeely, Coach Tom Kimbrough, Freddie Carroll, Bill Mathews, Andy Taylor.

Chosen brothers: Wally McNeely, Monty West, Michael Bowen, Rob Watts, Mike Davis and Jeff Chennault.

A 1984 graduate of Plano Senior High School, an outstanding athlete, was a part of a 26-2-1 record in football. A 1989 graduate of Baylor University and four-year football letterman ('85 - '88), and a member of the SAE Fraternity.

Scott was so proud to wear the #40. Some of the accolades he cherished were: '82-'83 12-5A All District; Co-Champs; Bi-District Champs; Area Champs; Regional Champs; Quarter Finalists. Senior year '83-'84 All-District Running Back; 12-5A Offensive Player of the Year; All-Metro Running Back; 12-5A Champs; Bi-District Champs; Area Champs; Regional Champs; Quarter Final Champs; and Semi-Finalists. He was especially proud of his 1983 All-State Honorable Mention.

Scott will also be inducted into the 2013 Plano ISD Athletic Hall of Honor. A plaque will be hung in his honor at Clark Stadium in Plano, Texas.

Scott never forgot a name, a face, or a fact ... and we will never forget his big heart and his contagious smile.
