CHAPMAN
Mattie B. Chapman, 97, a lifelong resident of Lewisville, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 7, 1915, in Lewisville, to William Claytor and Mildred Lee Craft Claytor.
Mattie married Everett Chapman on November 23, 1935, in Denton. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1984.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville and enjoyed the last years of her life at Renaissance Village.
Mattie is survived by her daughter, Peggy Winter; two grandchildren, Mike Brewer and his wife, Valli, and Philip Brewer; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Greg Brewer.
Funeral service were held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville. Interment followed at Old Hall Cemetery. The family received friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
