Beckie Ellen Washburn Ferguson

Beckie Ellen Washburn Ferguson was granted her angel wings on February 23, 2013.
Her final days were spent at home surrounded by family and friends.
Beckie's "Celebration of Life" service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at First United Methodist Church of Mesquite with Pastor David Weber officiating.
Beckie was born on August 2, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Kenneth and Evelyn Washburn. Her family moved to Texas in February 1951. She attended North Dallas High School and after marrying and having children, she decided to further her education and pursue her dream of helping others. In 1981, she graduated from nursing school, an accomplishment that positively shaped her life and the lives of many.
Beckie dedicated 25 years of her life to the care of others through nursing.
Beckie was an avid genealogist and seamstress. She loved spending time with family and friends. Beckie also cherished and was an active member of First United Methodist Church Mesquite, Kairos Prison Ministry, American Heart Association and Boy Scouts of America Troop 108.
Left to treasure her memory are her husband of 42 years, William A. Ferguson Sr.; four sons - William A. Ferguson Jr. of Mesquite, Randy Moon and wife Cindy of Corpus Christi, Mitchell Moon and wife Shari of Spring, Texas, and Jon Ferguson and wife Camilla of Mesquite; three grandsons - David Ferguson of Rowlett, Randall Shaffer of Corpus Christi, and Ryan Moon of Spring; eight granddaughters -- Christina Muro and husband Alejandro of Mesquite, Jennifer Moon of Sulphur Springs, Ashley Gauna and husband Leo of Mesquite, Emily Shaffer of Corpus Christi, Katelyn Ferguson of Mesquite, Rachel Moon of Spring, and Kenley Ferguson and Ashlyn Ferguson, both of Mesquite; two sisters - Julie Ann McCrory of Lake Kiowa and Keni Marie Gibson of Gainesville; six great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved and adored her.
Beckie will be missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
Beckie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Neva Ferguson and Pattie Jane Anderson.
