Celina Public Library launches e-book service

Celina Public Library will expand its services on March 1, 2013 with audio books and eBooks available to download from the Northeast Texas Libraries Digital Consortium website. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://netldc.lib.overdrive.com.
Users may browse the consortium website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. Users will need to install free software. For audiobooks, music, and video: OverDrive® Media Console™. To read eBooks, users will need Adobe® Digital Editions. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod®, Sony® Reader™, and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!
Cardholders that have overdue materials or outstanding fines will not be able to use the digital library until their account is clear. Please call the library at 972-382-8655 if you cannot check out at the digital website using your library card number. Library staff will help determine the reason and work with you to resolve issues that may prevent anyone from using this service.
Numbered steps:
1. Go to http://netldc.lib.overdrive.com.
2. Click the LOGIN in button.
3. Select Celina Public Library from the drop-down menu.
4. Enter your library card number..
5. You are now signed in and can start browsing the collection by clicking OVERDRIVE HOME.
