Place 5 race in LISD down to two

Lisa Rossi, who had filed Friday to run for Place 5 on the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees, withdrew her candidacy Monday.
That leaves two candidates for the seat – incumbent Brenda Latham and challenger Ryan Collinsworth.
In Place 3, Paige Shoven will face Mark Welding. The two are battling for a seat left open by Jeff Knapp last year when he moved out of the district.
In Place 4, Kris Vaughn is running against Jared Brueckner. Julie Foughty, who occupies Place 4, announced in January she is not seeking re-election.
Early voting runs from April 29 through May 7. Election Day is May 11.
