Bobby J. "Killer" Smith, 83, went to his heavenly home on March 3, 2013.
His continuing good attitude and peace he had with his health issues were a testimony to his faith.

He donated many hours of his life to coaching boxing at Buckner Home, Dallas Police Dept. and Southeast YMCA. He also coached baseball and football. He was an All Service Boxing Champion while serving as a proud Marine and was affectionately known by his coworkers as "Killer" Smith. He faithfully served as an employee of Dallas Power & Light/TXU for 35 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth "Beth"; daughter, Lunell Webber; sons, Bob Smith and wife, Gina and Clay Smith and wife, Sheryl; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Joy and Samantha Webber, Kerrie Howe, Chris, Caleb, Mikey and Dalton Smith; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bobby was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013. Visitation will be at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
