Grace Eileen Anderson Pieper
Grace Eileen Anderson Pieper stepped into eternity on January 26, 2013.
Grace was born July 5, 1932, in Galveston, Texas, to Herman and Ethel Lea Anderson.
She spent her childhood in numerous cities in Texas before attending Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa. It was there she met and married Lowell K. Pieper on April 5, 1953.
Grace graduated from Westmar College in May 1953 with a double degree in music and religious education with a minor in home economics. Grace and Lowell lived in three states and three foreign countries throughout their 58 years of marriage.
Grace retired from the Department of Defense Dependent School system in 1995 after working more than 20 years as an educator. During retirement, Grace and Lowell traveled the world on mission trips, visiting every continent at least once.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ethel Anderson, and her husband, Lowell Pieper. She is survived by her children Lynda and Loren and their spouses, Bruce and Natasha; five grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Helena, Christian and Karina; two sisters, Helen Sanders and Ruth Davis; and numerous relatives and friends worldwide.
She is buried next to her beloved husband in the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
A memorial service celebrating her life and faith will be held at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church on March 23, 2013.
