While no teams qualified for appearances in their respective UIL State Golf Tournaments, multiple programs did have individuals who advanced and found varying degrees of success at the state tourneys April 30-May 4 in Austin.
The Class 4A tourney took place April 30-May 1 at Jimmy Clay Golf Course.
Newman Smith's Eji Kwon found a great deal of success, finishing fourth (73, 76) with combined score of 149 behind Lindsey McCurdy of Buda Hayes (142), Maty Monzingo of Northwest Nelson (143) and Grace Choi of Dallas Wilson (147).
Southlake Carroll was represented on the boys side where Corbin Kasten carded consecutive rounds of 77 and 70 (147) to finish 20th. Kasten placed behind Austin Westlake's Statton Nolan (140) and Houston Cypress Creek's Matthew Dunn (140). Conroe The Woodlands, Austin Westlake and Fort Bend Travis claimed the top three sports in the team standings.
