11-5A SOFTBALL: Sachse remains unbeaten in district play
By DEVIN HASSON, dhasson@starlocalnews.com
The timing of Sachse's Monday afternoon game against South Garland had no impact on the Mustangs' bats.
Sachse scored eight runs in the fourth inning to put the finishing touches on a 12-0 victory.
The Mustangs improve to 3-0 in 11-5A and maintain their one-game lead over Garland, Rowlett and Naaman Forest.
Rowlett blasted Garland on Friday in a 22-9 slugfest. The Eagles had 16 hits in the game, including a home run and a double from Rebecca Wells and doubles from Grasyn Langley and Brianna Sims.
The 11-5A teams will take a break from district play for the remainder of the week to compete in the Garland ISD Tournament on Thursday through Saturday.
There will be some shakeup at the top of the standings on Tuesday when Sachse hosts Garland and Rowlett travels to play at Naaman Forest.
