The Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano is proud to present its annual Curator Camp with a brand new feature this year, a co-sponsored all-day celebration with the Plano Fire Department. During the week campers will learn about and touch real historic artifacts, explore the 125 year history of the Plano Fire Department (PFD), participate in hands-on demonstrations with the PFD, including a bucket brigade, meet fire fighters, try on bunker gear, learn how to handle an active fire hose, and work in teams to gather and research different clues to help create the exhibit Fire Boys: The Legacy of the Plano Fire Department. The opening for this unique exhibit will occur at the PFD's 125th Birthday Bash on Saturday, June 23 from 10am - 3pm.
