I am very unhappy that you got rid of the 'Features' section of the McKinney Courier Gazette. That was the best part of the paper. Also, the crossword puzzle was better. The one you have now is too hard. Jane Burrell Friday, Jun 10, 2011 (04:06:44 pm CDT)

After two calls to Southlake police, I've been out to the 114 area around Costco 3 times today and have yet to see an officer pull over any of the numerous vehicles cutting across the divider separating the highway from the service road illegally and creating a traffic hazzard, yet we just drove by Gateway church and there are two officers just standing around waiting for church to let out and there will be two more at the intersection soon also.
Why are the police more concerned with the convenience of church go-ers and not with blatant traffic violators that endanger other people? Mike Saturday, Jan 08, 2011 (06:01:27 pm CST)

I read with amusement about the curfew on teens in Southlake Square. 11:15? Almost everything is closed by then. The annoying teens are there when the stores are open pushing and being loud , taking up room in venues while not purchasing and ruining the once peaceful atmosphere for those who expect a more controlled environment for the higher prices we spend in the local shops. Town Square is not a baby sitting drop off point or Upper Class Gang "hood" but it's getting that way with teens having arguments in the area and being rude and pushy to anyone over 20. And when asked to do something the store owners and Security won't because they are afraid of the parents of the kids not giving them business!
Why not make the curfew 7 PM and like a lot of malls anyone under 18 have an adult with them? It has worked in many places. Elisabeth Morgan Monday, Jun 22, 2009 (10:06:15 pm CDT)

I was glad to see the responses in the paper regarding the dog shooting, however I would also like to see a follow-up on the discipline or punishment this officer should recieve for this inexcusable behavior. ROY ZEMAN Monday, Jan 19, 2009 (02:01:56 pm CST)

Zachary Markovic, newly appointed editor of the Allen American, is one of the nicest people we have met in a long time. He graciously went out of his way to get our family some back issues of the Plano Star which had an article of our daughter, Heather Udowitch in the sports section. Thank you for your generousity and kindness. We thought his jesture was so kind we would like to subscribe to the newspaper. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! On October 31st my brother Jose C. Arriola was killed in a vehicle accident and I was injured. I just want to thank Officer James M. Harbor of the Plano Police Department. As the accident investigator, all of his contacts with me and my brother's family have been highly professional and he has shown great care and compassion. I would also like to commend the medical personnel of the Plano Medical Center that were involved in my care and treatment. I found everyone that I came in contact with was truly concerned for my welfare.
The city of Plano should be proud of your police department and the Plano Medical Center. Thank you all for what you have done for me and my brother's family. Tony Arriola Sunday, Nov 16, 2008 (06:11:50 pm CST)

Brandi Hart's column re: "Merchants seek better parking.." made me laugh. Perhaps the parking would be better if the police did not allow some merchants to block a parking space in front of their store for their own use. Those red cones should be removed or owners ticketed. Lou Burns Saturday, Jun 30, 2007 (02:06:23 pm CDT)
